In the process of structural analysis, people often use the deterministic design method to deal with engineering problem. Many variables and their characteristics which will reflect the real surrouding around the structure are not introduced into. In order to recover the essence, the effection of variable is introduced and the target reliability is used to reflect the structural safety.In this thesis,the method of the pile foundation has been studied. The transfer from the current deterministic design to the limit state has been studied and the target reliability and the partial factors has been provided.1. The concept of reliability and the target reliability has been introduced. The methods of acquiring the concrete data have been discussed and compared. Finally, the JC method is commended.2. The method defining the bearing capacity of single pile for the testing curve has been discussed, including the success and the failure curve. Using the hyperhda to simulate the P-S curve, we can use the points of the trail of the curve to determine the bearings the pile, and statistic them to get the bearing.3. Under the random field, the relative distance of soil is discussed in horizon and the verticle. Many approaches have been studied. Especially, for the CPT test, a simple formula has been provided.4. Under the probability theory, for a concrete case, the limit bearing of the pile from the static test is between the bearing of 95% believing probability, which is determined by soil characteristic.After amounts of data has been studied, the statistic properties of the point have been provided. For the static load test, standard formula and CPT test, respectively, the target have been provided.5. The definition of partial factors has been provided. For the above-mentioned three things (test and standard), the concrete data has been analyzed with a engineering case differently.6. As to the analysis of complex performance functions, a new reliability analysis approach on the basis of JC and Monte Carlo has been provided.
