As the most important characteristic of the panzer equipment, maintainability has great influence on the battle effectiveness. Maintainability demonstration, which can prove whether the maintainability of the panzer equipment fulfill the stated requirements and differentiate the design limitations of the maintainability, help to increase the maintainability.At present, with the methods of GJB, equipment maintainability demonstration evaluates the maintainability level on the basis of information acquired from locale tests .However, due to the high cost of panzer equipment, adopting GJB methods will make the equipment wear off heavily,Increase the cost of equipment as well as prolong the development cycle. Therefore, the maintainability demonstration of the panzer equipment based on a small number of samples has been put forward.With the engineering background, this paper studies the small sample method of maintainability demonstration of the panzer equipment (MTTR: mean time to repair). At first, the paper introduces the traditional methods of GJB, and brings forward the new method of Bayes aiming on the limitations of GJB. And then, the paper researches the acquirement of prior information, the consistency of prior information, the determination of prior distribution and information fusion of multiple sources. And it brings forward a method of Bayes sequential probability ratio test to demonstrate MTTR. In the end, it is proved that with the Bayes method provided, only a small number of samples are required at the same risks, and the test expenses and development cycle are also reduced at the same time.
