This study focused on gear oil analysis through the technology of oil monitoring to obtain oil performance parameters of gear oil. Some analysis methods can be used to analyze oil performance parameters to monitor the wear condition and the failure diagnosis of machine using oil analysis techniques and them predict the vice-next step movement condition of gear in order to avoid wearing fiercely. The relation between the gear oil lubrication performance and gear wear condition is analyzed to determine the life of gear oil, which provides basic theories to replace oil.This study studied gear lubrication and the expiration form, theories of oil analysis technique and practical application in the device status monitor. According to gear movement principle, the lubrication situation and the abrasion type of the gear, oil analysis methods were used to analysis performance parameter of gear oil, pick-up partial performance parameter which needs for the next step analysis to provide the scientific basis. The wear condition of gear can be gotten through the cluster analysis and the matter element analysis to get to know the relationship between the gear oil lubrication performance and gear's wear condition based on chromatograph and association rules analysis.The purpose of carrying out the attrition condition evaluation of heavy duty gear is to find the relationship between lubrication and attrition condition of gear through monitoring the attrition condition of heavy duty gear based on oil analysis, thus prevents gear wear fierce results from the failure of lubrication. This project took the oil analysis as the main analysis method, using chromatography to analyze the change tendency about pressure and anti-wear property of gear oil, obtain the pressure and anti-wear property of gear oil start to deterioration when experimental course achieves a testing mileage. The results of chromatography analysis and the change of oil performance parameters were compared to indicate that changes regularity of some performance parameters were similar. The qualitative analysis result of gear attrition condition could be gotten based on cluster statistical analysis, attrition condition of gear could be confirmed through the matter element analysis. The influence of gear oil lubrication failure on wear could be discovered through analyzing the association rules about lubrication and attrition condition based on apriori algorithm.
