With the Chinese industry development,the drive of gear will play an important role in the production of industrial,and abnormal gear wear need to be detected in advance which become more and more prominent.Although there were a variety of ways to detect gear wear in the country,only a few ways were used to predict abnormal wear of the gears,and there were rarely related to the detection of gear wear by the gear wear rate.In this paper,an on-line monitoring system for detecting oil immersion gear wear rate based on rate of change was developed by LabVIEW.The system could realize real-time continuous collection of gearbox oil in the ferromagnetic particle size and the number of oil quality.Through the upper and lower machine mode,The system realized the real-time monitoring and predicted the gear wear.And the system combined the advantages of gross mode monitoring gear wear,which enhanced the accuracy of discriminating the abnormal wear of gears.Firstly,in order to improve the detection range of oil abrasive grain,a new structure of abrasive grain sensor was designed.The design theory of the new structure of abrasive grain sensor also was provided.By comparing the simulation results,it was confirmed that the designed abrasive particle sensor could improve the detection range of abrasive grains.In addition,the relationship between the particle size and the signal output also was established.Secondly,The wear detection circuit was designed according to the design of sensor output signal.In addition,the embedded hardware platform was built,and the platform could complete the processing of abrasive grain information and lubricating oil quality information.According to the theory of rate of change,the embedded software development platform was built,and the platform realized the monitoring of gear wear rate.And the PC monitoring center was developed,which could realize Real-time monitoring of gear wear.At last,The design of the hardware circuit was simulated for circuit,which confirmed the feasibility of the design of the circuit.Through the system tested and experimented of the design system,it was proved that the design system can predict the abnormal wear of the gear in advance.The system monitored the abnormal wear of the gear in a way that combined the rate of change with the total value,which proved that could improve the accuracy of discriminating the abnormal wear of the gear and the efficiency of the discrimination gear abnormal wear of the gear in the way.The designed system achieved the expected goal.
