| To meet the need of seismic safety project for Yunnan's rural houses, researches about construction technologies and earthquake-resistance carrying capacities of traditional houses are presented in this paper. Furthermore, tests on modified adobe and masonry clay slurry concerning to the improvement of immature soil walls' earthquake-resistance carrying capacities are proceeded. The limitation of height-width ratio which can avoid the out-plane collapse of immature soil walls are also studied.The following works have been done in this paper:(1) By investigations, the relationship between the construction technologies and earthquake-resistance carrying capacities of traditional houses are analyzed.(2) Influence rules that adding different quantities of straw can make a different strength parameters are presented, the relationship curves between various strength parameters and adding quantities of straw are fitted. According to the analysis of shearing-capacity principle, shearing strength of single adobe is formulated. Main influence factors of single adobe's strength and fracture development failure mechanics of adobe's compressive capacity are generalized through experiments. It is found that by adding the additives, compressive strength improves not obviously, even have a phenomenon of decrease. However, bending strength and shearing strength are improved a lot.(3) Test of modified clay slurry is also conducted. The influence of water-content coefficient of clay slurry, adding lime and adding pine needle are indicated. Moreover, optimum water-content coefficient of caly slurry and optimum matching ratio of adding pine needle are obtained.(4) Mechanics of the immature soil enclosure walls' out-plane collapse under earthquake is discussed in this paper, and by the analysis of theory and finite element method, the wall's limitation of height-width ratio is indicated. |
