Structure suffers hot and cold along the year,sudden cooling,solar radiation in nature. Temperature action in structure is ubiquitous. Temperature affects structure in two aspects: deformation and stress. In order to meet the use requirement, span of structure becomes larger and larger and style becomes more and more complex. Temperature action should be taken into account in structure design and construction.A long time ago temperature effects on the structures has been raised, till now the work carried out in varying degrees and have made a lot of achievements. However, the temperature effect, especially solar radiation has a strong regional. At home and abroad more research on single structure of the thermal stress analysis but less hybrid structure.The mainly work in this paper as follows:1. Use the method of the "extra-ventricular convert temperature"to describe the effect of solar radiation. According to the local climate parameters, the temperature boundary conditions of Jiayuguan weather tower are identified. After that ANSYS finite element program was used for the calculation and analyzing the characteristics of the temperature effect. The results show that temperature effects structure in two aspects: deformation and stress, the condition which including the role of temperature may become controlled conditions.2. With the structural mechanics, the impact of temperature effects on the structure of the cabinet was analyzed. Then to establish finite element model by ANSYS, at last the comparison of both results are discussed.3. Double layer cylindrical shell looks aesthetically pleasing, and the construction is simple, but for now there is a lack of researches on the impact of temperature effects, especially the difference in temperature during sunlight, to force performance of structure. In this paper, with combining the characteristics by using thermal analysis function of ANSYS software, temperature field of shell structure is calculated under sunlight. The force performance of shell structure is analyzed under various temperature conditions, and the impact of different rise-span ratios as well.
