The membrane structure is a new building system which developed since 70's 20 century. Because of the lightness of membrane structure, it has great adaptable to seismic forces, but sensitive to the performance of pulsating wind load. It's a key link to give a precise estimation and an effective prevention according to the structure response of membrane structure by wind load. The overall tension membrane structure always use elastic support column, but in many projects, it generally calculate membrane and elastic support column separately because of its fast form-finding convergence, and has no consideration of the coordination between. So it is hardly for membrane to achieve stress situation of designing after shaping by tension, and the effect to membrane by elastic support column should be considered. Furthermore, there would be large "edge effect" because of the existence of friction force and extrusion force during the process of tension.The mainly work in this paper as follows:1)Analyzed models with different proportion by ANSYS, the effects to membrane structure by "edge effect" are studied. The results showed that the stress and impact region is greater on the broader;2)The static analysis of overall tension membrane structure with elastic support column is considered. As the structure deformation of substructure with elastic support steel column could descend the tension rigidity of membrane structure, and have a further effect to form-finding displacement of membrane. The effect of elastic column to displacement and stress during form-finding is analyzed, and the effect of the structure with different loading situation and different rise-span ratio as well;3)Wind-induced vibration response of overall tension membrane with elastic support column is analyzed. According to the AR model in linear filtering method, wind velocity time-history curve of nodes on membrane is imitated and combined with random vibration theory of structure with coupling effect considered. Imitate wind velocity power spectrum by program Matlab and proved its reliability by comparing with Davenport spectrum. At last wind-induced time-history analysis of overall tension membrane is studied with air pressure by ANSYS, results showed that the membrane surface fluctuation is big under the fluctuating wind, may be stress concentration.This page have made a more detailed analysis and comparison, the wind-induced vibration response must be considered in the actual project after with the static analysis.
