At beginning, the temple construction is manifestation of the belief, etiquette and moral, then for use. It has already broken through the concept of living container, and become a collective existing space form for heaven, earth, ghost, divinity and human being. Therefore, all the time the Chinese ancestor took the temple as home of spirit.At all times temple construction is the emphasis of construction, building a temple is the core of temple construction from country to village, which is always the center for local people, family and social activity, so the structure conformation could represent the highest construction level of both official and civilian, it is the direct reaction of construction technology at that time, new breakthrough of technology and innovation would be presented when temples were build.The ShanXi ancient building are world famous by " early times, high value, big quantity and full variety" . So all these samples could be used for detail research by construction appearance and building technique of official and folk temples from different scale, also it could be deeply researched as official and folk carrier of construction technology and art.Based on ShanXi, according to construction technology of traditional building, temples taken as the research object, this thesis emphasizes on analyzing and inducing of the shape and form of component and their connecting ways of introverted space in ShanXi temples. Starting from the construction conformation, we can get the character and value of ShanXi temple buildings. Moreover we would get a better understanding of universality of Chinese temple's inner structure and unique of ShanXi temples. Exact position could be obtained on researching of ShanXi local temples and clarification of the relationship between common and local characteristic, official and folk temples.
