The testing and evaluation of material is a crucial role in controlling and improving product quality in the production process, assuring the material, components, product reliability and enhancing production efficiency. At present there are many material flaw testing methods, the ultrasonic non-destruction method not only has some fundamental merits such as strong penetrability, simple equipment, good working conditions , high security, and the extensive examination scope, but also has another merits such as the thin sound beam, the centralized sound energy, the high definition and signal-to-noise ratio, and though it, we can obtain the flaw cross section graph, and hope to realize the accurate analysis of the flaw size and shape, and judge the flaw nature consider with the flaw distribution in order to provide the reference for improving preparation craft. Therefore , in this paper, a new flaw testing method which is ultrasonic density testing method is given on the base of the research of ultrasonic testing technology, then carries on the flaw testing to the solid material in the article.In this paper, in the basis of researching on the ultrasonic signal fluctuation characteristic, the relation between the sonic speed and the density is found out through ultrasonic signal wave equation, then the intuitively flaw evaluation of the material is carried on drawing the two-dimensional density chart. Meanwhile through improving the ultrasonic inspection system - - replacing the original ultrasonic signal acquisition card with the CPLD real-time processing system, not only the merits such as the quickly speed, high measuring accuracy are realized, but also the measuring speed is enormously enhanced, the timely request can be completely satisfied.The following issues are mainly studied and discussed in this paper: 1,The ultrasonic signal fluctuation characteristic is theoretically analyzed, the relation between the density and the wave speed is studied, and then the theory base for the experiment design is established.2,The ultrasonic water impulse reflective method is make sure to adopt to carry on ultrasonic detection though the compare of ultrasonic testing technology.3,The measure model is designed on the basis of theory comparing the tradition thickness anemometry to the no-relational reflector plate anemometry (TIRP) which is adopt to measure ultrasonic speed.4,The hard-core of the solid material density ultrasonic testing system is designed with the CPLD in order to achieve the real-time demanding, and the hard-core is the real-time processing system. The specification and simulation to every model's function is made, the feasibility of the design system is seen through the out put oscillogram.5,A experiment is made to the nonmetallic material——glass sheet in the basis of the designed ultrasonic testing system, as a result, the two-dimensional density planar graph is get, thus the designed system is proved reasonable. In addition, the method which makes the detecting to material's defect with the relation between material's density and ultrasonic signal is proved.6,The data processing speed is enhanced by using the CPLD real-time processing system to carry on gathering and processing the data. It is known that about 10 minutes is needed to gathering and processing to data point (80*40) by using the A/D gathering card through experiments, but about a minute is needed through the real-time processing system, so the real-time testing speed is enormously enhanced.
