For the characteristics of the test motors multi-shell thickness, this paper seeks to find a more generic motors interface bonding and its signal processing technology to ultrasonic testing as a means, it does not affect from the shell thickness, and to provide a effective and feasible method to automatically detect ultrasound technology in the interfacial adhesion test motors engine testing. This paper presents experimental detection programmers, in accordance with multi-shell thickness component automated testing requirements. The Longitudinal Wave method, the Lamb Wave method and the Transverse Wave method are used in the ultrasonic testing to 2mm, 5mm, 7mm thick shell component of the multi-layered adhesive interface conducts the testing research, Combine with the FIR filter technology and the Hilbert transform technology, has completed various layered characteristic signal enveloping extraction, and has carried on the analysis to the testing results. The Longitudinal Wave method can be examine an effective interface bonding state of multi-shell thickness, but regarding two and three interfaces were unable to extract for debonding of the signal characteristics. The Lamb Wave method can be examine 2mm thick shell of the three interface bonding, but is not suitable for the 5mm and 7mm thick shell of the interfacial bonding. By adjusting the distance and angle of the probe and using features of the signal extraction method, the Transverse Wave method can effectively detect different thickness of the shell interface bonding state. The Transverse Wave method need to take into account the characteristics of the three interface signals, so will cause an overflow signal of the interface and impact the interface of a judgment of bonding state from the amplitude; For an interface characteristics of the signal spill by Hilbert envelope technology spillover from the width of signal amplitude extract information reflects the amplitude characteristics of an interface. The use of the Transverse Wave method and the Hilbert transform technology of the multi-shell thickness component of the C-scan detection, can be detected the interface bonding state of different shell thickness for the test motors. The test results match with the artificial defects, verify the feasibility of the method.
