The Research On Establishment Of City Road Landscape Design Guidelines

Due to traits of long cycle and fully implications about building city road landscape, the purpose of designing is hardly carried out. The routine result of designing would confront with a challenge to the lack of maneuverability and validity. In terms of investigations of city road landscape design, this paper adopts the methods of urban design to draw up relevant rules to follow and set an example to be considered. It is helpful to promote the research of design guidance efficiently, supervise to put city road landscape into practice as well.This paper mainly consists of five chapters. Firstly (In chapter 1), it makes an exposition of background, content and methods. Secondly (In chapter 2), it defines the concept of the landscape of city road and discriminates it, then drawing up the characteristics of fact. It is constructed by two aspects compounded with the hard and soft ways, designing the research of strategy, attempting to set an assessable system. Again (In chapter 3), based on investigations above, applying theory of urban design and methods of guideline planning, it is mentioned to build a theoretical framework on city road landscape design. Afterward (In chapter 4), on the purpose of fixing the goals,principles,procedures and methods, analyzing different types of city roads' characteristics, it is referred to show main content of planning,to set a mold and to put forward strategies for implementation under the guidelines. Finally (In chapter 5), by means of selecting actual examples to investigate, it forms design guideline templates to verify the practicability of the theoretical results.This paper forms five technical achievements:①The construction and strategies of city road landscape.②The evaluation criteria index system of city road landscape.③The templates for the design guidelines of city road landscape.④The implementation of management measures for the design guidelines of city road landscape.⑤The examples of texts of city road landscape design guidelines.The text of this paper includes 69,293 words, 15 tables, and 53 pictures, seeing references and documents 134 totally.
