Heat supply network is a complex liquid network, which is affected by various factors in reality, so the analysis of operation status and optimization to it is strictly based on the modeling of hydraulic behavior. With the expansion of city construction and increasing customers, the government has paid more attention on the optimization programming and reconstruction work to the heat supply network. Therefore, the optimization research to provide centralized heat supply in cities, can not only save a great sum of money, but also provide reliable and high efficient heat supply to users. Hydraulic maladjustment is a prevalent phenomenon in heat supply network, so how to overcome this difficulty, achieve hydraulic balance and improve heat supply quality, is the greatest problem need to be solved, nowadays. Based on these issues, the research of this paper can be divided into several big parts as shown below.In the first part, according to the liquid network and relevant principles of network graph theory, an accurate mathematical model about the heat supply network is established , which is used to analyze and compute the quantity flow, pressure ,etc in the pipe network system. In the second part , the mathematic model used for optimizing heat supply network is analyzed, and the objective function based on reduced annual cost is establish, which includes both the construction cost of pipe network and annual consumed electric cost ,heat lost cost. In the optimization, the pipe diameter is considered as the optimizing variable as well as pump head in order to make it more reliable and accurate compared with the actual process. Under the constraint hydraulic condition, the heat supply network optimization work is executed both by particle swarm optimization and simulated annealing algorithm in this paper. Furthermore, some new improvements are made on the particle swarm optimization, and hierarchical decision making method is introduced in the heat supply network to solve multi-objective optimizing problem. During MATLAB programming simulation, the mathematic model of heat supply network is validated , firstly , and then the two optimization results obtained from particle swarm optimization and simulated annealing algorithm are compared, separately.In the last part, some relevant concepts about hydraulic balance is introduced in chapter 5, and hydraulic maladjustment is discussed during the optimization process. Simulation results indicate both of the optimization algorithms can get great performance, improve hydraulic maladjustment and increase heat supply quality.
