The honeycomb cardboard is a new packing material with broad application prospect. The drying of honeycomb cardboard is an important step that guarantees the quality of honeycomb cardboard and the shape of honeycomb cardboard. Today there is no literature in view of the honeycomb cardboard drying research and no detailed computation about it, and also there is no structural optimization carried on for drier part. Therefore it is of high value to research the honeycomb cardboard's drying.The theory of the wet minute migration in solid matter when in drying process is reviewed in this paper, and the main theory of the wet minute's transmission in solid matter and its model are introduced. According to the hot blast convection drying principle, the drying process is divided into constant-speed drying stage and decreasing-speed drying stage. The honeycomb cardboard drier part is simulated with following steps: Firstly , the drier part model is established and simplified to calculate the data required, then the temperature field distribution, the speed field distribution, the pressure distribution and the flow direction of fluid are worked out. Secondly, aimed at the important variables that influence the drying rate such as air's temperature, flowing speed and direction as well as the hot air quantity are carried on the simulation and analysis, then different factors that influence the honeycomb cardboard drier part temperature field distribution and the speed field distribution are analyzed.An experiment is done on the honeycomb cardboard drier part, which has verified the computer simulation reliability and accuracy. The data during the honeycomb cardboard's drying process is calculated, and certain improvements to honeycomb cardboard drier part's design by simulation analysis are made.On the whole, a method which is combined with simulation and experiment is applied in this paper. A study of the honeycomb cardboard's drying process is made, and the theory basis for its optimization is provided.
