With the development of Power System Network,Back-to-Back HVDC links are being applied more and more widely.However,some of them feeding into a week AC system are prone to suffer from the problems of stability.Necessary measures such as dynamic reactive power compensation can effectively alleviate some of the issues.This paper analyses the principles of the SVC and the features of the week AC system,and investigates control strategies of the SVC connected to HVDC inverters feeding into a week AC system.Additionally,detailed HVDC-SVC-AC system models are set up and verified.On the basis of the simulation results,a feasible control strategy is proposed.
