Security and stability problems are becaming outstanding with the large coal-fired power units,utla high voltage and large scale power grid power system.This paper presents a practical and efficient control method to incorporate Wide Area Measurement System into Extended Equal-Area Criterion by some disturbances for bulk power system:EEAC has been proved a successful direct method,especially the advantages as the extremely fast computation speed and the ability to get the information of stability margin. It is possible to get a security system by servo controlling with the help of Wide Area Measurement System.Mechanism of feasibility in real-time stability control also have been presented.As a actual system example, security and stability control system of Northwest Power Grid of for 2008 was exampled in order to testifiy them.
