The transient process and control method of three-phase induction motor after dumping and reclosing is analyzed and researched in this thesis. The simulation and control research of which was supported and combined with the actual project.The changing rule of the residual voltage was analyzed systematically by the space-vector based model of induction motors, and the analytic formula of the residual voltage was deduced, and then, its correctness was verified by numerical simulation. On the basis of the above research, the thesis priority researching the variation rule of the transient current and electromagnetic torque after reclosing, and gained the current space-vector expression during the electromagnetic transient. Then the relationship of the reclosing time and stator transient current and transient electromagnetic torque was studied by Matlab, the suitable reclosing time was identified, thus, the control method of judging proper reclosing time was proposed, which was based on the amplitude of vector-difference between the supply voltage and residual voltage.
