Currently, the design of control systems of thermal power plant is mostly based on transfer functions. The mortal flaw of it is that they assumed transfer functions of control objects are fixed or switched between more than one optional transfer functions , which is against the fact that transfer functions of thermal power plant are changing gradually with the change of unit load.There are many other advanced modeling platforms that can be used in the development of full-scale modeling and simulation, but they are usually too professional and lack of uniform standard that make them bad in general use and reusability. So a more powerful platform is needed.In this article, a combustion chamber is built with Modelica/Dymola. The simulation results have showed the great potential of Modelica models in the design of advanced control system of thermal power plant.
