As the fuel source of power plant furnace the pulverized coal making system is very important for the modeling of a coal fired power plant. Further more the Inertia and delay of mill are the reason of the uneasy-to-control problem of boiler load controlling. Thus it is quite significant to model a reasonable coal-pulverizing system for the design of boiler load control system. Modelica ,which was brought by Modelica Association is a very powerful modeling language for the modeling of multi-domain, complicated and hybrid physical systems. In this paper the characteristics of Modelica/Dymola are introduced first and then the modeling of coal feeder and mill is presented. Finally pictures of simulation result and control-system are given.
