With the expanding of power system scale and the increase of interconnection among system with power system scale ceaselessness, power network brings in economic benefit meanwhile brings in danger of voltage instability. Bring reactive power voltage control of large power system into effective is important to ensure system work and improve voltage horizontal and prevent voltage collapse. Hierarchical voltage control is an effective method to avert voltage collapse, and the power system has a pyramidal structural, which is primary, secondary and tertiary control level. The secondary level is an important segment of the hierarchical voltage control level, and it is a connecting link between the proceeding and the following level.At first, a novel optimization model for partitioning of power system for voltage control is established, according to the electrical distance between the two nodes in power system. In the voltage partition the author combine the selection of pilot nodes with objective function, causing the partitioning of power system and the selecting of pilot nodes synchronization completes. Put them together not only has won the time for the implementation of control strategy, but also the obtained region coupling of interior is stronger. It is more advantageous to the implementation of control measure to raise the system voltage regulation level.Then, Genetic Algorithm (GA) is adopted to solve this model. The partial mapped crossover operator and adjacent mutation operator integrating with the connectivity of restraint and integer encoding strategy are put forward to avoid emerging of illegal chromosome effectively. The neighborhood search technique is employed after the iteration of GA is finished to achieve the global optimization.Present partitioning algorithm that based on GA, may give the grouping schemes of different group number, is more convenient and flexible; the group number without prior determined that the minimum fitness corresponding to the best grouping scheme, the corresponding group number is the best group number; overcome the identify of former partitioning methods that require to determinate group number artificial.Finally the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method are verified on the IEEE 39-bus system.
