The economic cross section and economic ventilated velocity of shafts are the optimal matching result of civil engineering and equipment investments, operation and energy consumption. As for the fortes deep-buried tunnels, sometimes more shafts should be set up for segment ventilation. At this time, the ventilation of the whole tunnel will be seriously affected if the position or cross section of the shaft were adjusted. This thesis, which on the basis of the numerical method of normal operating ventilation of the tunnel, takes fortes road tunnels of Nibashan as the object of study, develops a systemic software of selective preference of the optimal economic cross section and economic ventilated velocity through the determination of the searching method of the optimal economic cross section and economic ventilated velocity, and the study of basic parameters, such as the length of the shaft, the segment length of the tunnel, and so on. The correction of the software has been tested by comparative analyses and studies on different results of regular manual ventilation calculation of shafts of Nibashan under various work conditions and on results of selective preference of the ventilation. On the basis of this, the economic cross section and economic ventilated velocity of shafts of Nibashan has been determined.The thesis introduces the feature of tunnels of Nibashan, the research background of tunnel shafts at home and abroad, and the necessity of this thesis. On the basis of the numerical method of normal operating ventilation of the tunnel, this thesis makes a comparative study of different combination of work conditions of the segment length of the tunnel, the economic cross section and economic ventilated velocity of shafts through regular manual ventilation calculation.A systemic and visual software of selective preference on the economic cross section and economic ventilated velocity of shafts ,which using Visual C++ ad its platform, has been programmed on the basis of the study of relative searching methods of the position of shafts. The thesis introduces the main contents of the software, and makes some explanations of each part of the software.The thesis takes fortes road tunnels of Nibashan as example, tests the correction of the software by comparative analyses and studies on different results of regular manual ventilation calculation of shafts, and further determines the segment length of the tunnel, the economic cross section and economic ventilated velocity of shafts of Nibashan.The thesis put forward the optimal searching method of the economic cross section and economic ventilated velocity of shafts. The selective preference procedure can do the ventilation calculation in three cases of work condition, the optimal segment length of the tunnel, the economic cross section and economic ventilated velocity of shafts of Nibashan.
