Based on the western assignment of Ministry of Communications—"Research on the emulating, simulating and experiment technology of long highway tunnel ventilation", This paper discusses some experiments that carried out about the short section between the entrance of air in and air out in the shaft ventilation physical model, introduces a efficient that is a physical quantity without dimension and can be regarded as a token of the fluid condition in the short section. In those experiments, we take into account three key factor—the proportion between the quantity of air out and that of air out, the degree of air out, the length of the short section, then use the method of variance analysis and regression to investigate the three factor that influence the flow state in the short section. In the conclusion, this paper give some key advice to control the inverse flow.
