| With the development of national economy, the demand of power supply quality from all kinds of industries are increased. Reactive power optimization can optimize reacitive power dispatch and reduce power loss and voltage loss in order to improve voltage quality and run eleatrical equipment safely and reliably. In the aspect of guaranteeing safety and economy of modern power system, the importance of reactive power optimization has received extensive attention.Reactive power optimization is a kind of complicated nonlinear optimization problem.Essentially, reactive power optimization is the muli-restraint overall optimization problem with plentiful local minizia and discrete variables. Seeker optimization algorithm (SOA) features parallel handing and good robustness etc, can deal with the mixed integer nonlinear programming problem easily and find the optimum of problem with greater probablity. Its calculation efficiency is higher than traditional random methods.Its biggest advantage lies in simpleness, rapidly convergence and profound intelligent background, so it is suitable for both scientific research and application on project.This paper introdunces the present research and development of reactive power optimization. After researched kinds of methods for reactive optimization, the advantages and disadvantages and application of these methods are analyzed. A mathematical model for reactive power optimization is established to obtain minimization of networkloss with satisfying constraints of power flow and security. Has studied the charater and the convergence of SOA.Applying SOA to IEEE30 nodes system and IEEE57 nodes system, and compare their emulational results with tahat of three improve particle swarm algorithm. The result shows SOA has gotten the most ideal optimization effect, and confirmed SOA has superiority on reactive power optimization. Its offer a new thought for reactive power optimization in power syetem. |
