Though having abundant petroleum resources in China, per-capita amounts is less, and the degree of exploration and development becomes more and more difficult. Due to population increasing sharply and economy developing quickly, our country has been the petroleum net-import country since 1993, and oil industry has confronted severe challenge. So, how to keep Chinese oil industry sustainable development has become the concerned problem currently. However, one of the effective methods of making up of the lack of petroleum resources, is to accelerate the development of natural gas. Since entering 21 centuries, Chinese gas industry has received high-speed development. As one kind of the energy sources, natural gas has been applied to production and resident life broadly. As is well known, clean and environmental CNG (compress natural gas) has been the alternative fuel for gasoline vehicle in recent years. Thus, how to storage and use CNG reasonably has become the urgent problem. At present, high-pressure gas-storage shaft has been preferred due to its favorable physic-chemical characteristics, space-saving, economical and more secure. And now it has been applied in many CNG filling stations which run very well.To emphasize the advantage of high-pressure gas-storage shaft, the thesis compares it with other two widely applied storage methods, analyzing respective benefits and limitations, as well as best applied situations. Especially, it is compared with high-pressure gas-storage kettle from economical and secure points.The thesis particularly introduces key technology of high-pressure gas-storage shaft, discusses several well control devices and well cementation methods, analyzes the major factors of effecting security and using life and indicates the existing problems in the structure design, construction and running. Furthermore, to estimate whether the design satisfies national standard, stress-intensify is calculated.Since high-pressure gas-storage shaft has so many advantages,then whether it can be applied to peak-energy system of city gas-supplying is the next discussing object of the thesis. Alas, to fully calculate peak-energy amounts, how to exactly forecast and calculate peak-energy amounts is related.Finally, to explain the necessity and importance of popularizing the technology, other functions of high-pressure gas-storage shaft have been discussed.
