With the economic development and population increasing, construction land is increasingly getting tense, and tall buildings are getting higher and higher. To meet the requirements of conditions, such as seismic, structural form has also developed continuously, on a wide range of shear wall structure for high-rise residential. To meet the requirements such as seismic conditions, the shear wall structure form on a wide range for high-rise residential buildings has developed continuously. Therefore, it is significance to study the theory and practices of the mechanical properties of the tall residential shear wall structures.In this paper, we analyzed a tall building's shear wall structure in adopting our country's current structure calculation software SATWE to model and analysis, studying the structure's dynamic characters. Because of the problems which were found during the optimization, this text simply examined the rational rigidity of shear wall structure by calculation and analysis.At last ,some adviseof design was given.In short, under the guidance of the concept design, we can design a shear wall structure with good economic performance and the seismic performance through thorough analysis.
