Genetic algorithms to solve the multi-objective optimization problems have their unique advantages, and the spacecraft orbit maneuver was a typical multi-objective optimization problem. With the modern high-tech development, in a future war, the international militarization of space even spatial attack and defense will be inevitable; the scope of the battlefield will also be extended to space from the Earth. A important platform of spatial attack defense resistance or the spatial environment research is a spacecraft, so the study of spacecraft orbit maneuver problem is of great significance. Based on "Space maneuver platform technology" issues and using genetic algorithms on spacecraft orbit maneuver, this paper conducted a study. The major work is as follows:First, introduced the relevant background knowledge, including intelligent optimization, Genetic Algorithms and the base knowledge of spacecraft orbit, then illustrate the genetic algorithms advantages to solve complex engineering problems, which representing the intelligent optimization methods.Secondly, discussed the Lambert theorem flight time formula and established the calculation model that suitable for the iteration method and genetic algorithm to solve the Lambert problem; In order to gauge the merits of the transfer orbit, the necessary energy and time of spacecraft to maneuver were comprehensive weighted and performance indicators, that is, optimizing performance to the most (next-best) small.Finally, studied the Lambert-pulse energy and time optimal orbit maneuver (the interception) problem that the tracking spacecraft and objective spacecraft both in elliptical orbits. Then analyzed and carried on the modeling to the three kind of typical situations. The three typical orbit maneuver (the interception) problem are as follows:(1) Tracking spacecraft orbit transfer, tracking spacecraft with the target spacecraft rendezvous points are fixed;(2) Tracking spacecraft orbit transfer point is fixed and tracking spacecraft with the target spacecraft rendezvous point to be determined;(3) Tracking spacecraft orbit transfer, tracking spacecraft with the target spacecraft rendezvous points both to be determined.This paper mainly used the improved genetic algorithm to optimize the orbit maneuver performance indicators and solve the most (next-best) transfer orbits roots, then mapped out of the simplify orbit images. The results show that seeking the most (next-best) orbit maneuver by improved genetic algorithm is accurate and effective.
