Since the 1980s of the 20th century, with the maturity of power electronic,frequency conversion and advanced control technology, AC variable speed technology developed rapidly, and AC variable speed system is becoming more and more market favorable. Research on AC motor variable speed and other related technologies are an important issue in the field of electric drive. The emergence of IGBT and rapid development of signal processing technology have made high performance control of induction motor possible. The control technology of induction motor has developed from VF ratio constant method to vector control method and speed sensor-less vector control method. Using DSP and integrated power module to implement vector control has become a trend recently.In this paper, 32-bit fixed-point DSP TMS320F2812 which is special chip of TI for motor control is used to design a vector-control system platform. Further more, we develop general purpose inverter on the basis of TMS320F2812 platform. Firstly, the basic principles of vector control system are introduced in this paper. Secondly, Dead time effect commonly exists in vector control system and causes side effect such as voltage decreasing and current distortion, so, a pulse based dead time compensation method is adopted in the system, the experimental results show its good performance. In the implementation process of vector control, motor parameters such as stator resistance, rotor resistance and their inductance play a important role. With incorrect motor parameters, the wrong vector orientation will cause motor working improperly. Through MATLAB simulation , The paper presents the based on forgotten factor recursive least squares algorithm for motor parameters identification and the method based on SVPWM software compensation of the dead-time compensation strategy are proved feasible and effective.Finally, the overall experimental results show that the system has good performance and its industry value.
