For the sake of improving the product quality, reducing its costs and enhancing the economic efficiency, automobile manufacturers continue research and ameliorate the production process. Using the automatic technology, computer technology, online detection technology, production efficiency enhanced largely.As a crucial element of the automobile, the brake disc is related to the security of the automobile. So it is obviously important to control its quality strictly. In the manufacturing process of the brake disc, detecting the key parameters is a crucial way of control the quality.The brake disc has many geometric parameters. The side face run-out is the most important part, it needs to detect online. In our country, the inspecting instrument of the brake disc has single function and low automatic degree. It also can't display visually, feedback and control. So the existing equipment can't satisfy the need of modern industry.The dissertation research and manufacture a new type of the automobile brake disc side face run-out electronic detecting instrument. It includes the precision displacement sensing technology, displacement signal modulation and demodulation electronics technology, automatic control technology, computer software technology.This detecting instrument is the key instrument in the brake disc production lines. Using the contact measurement method, its distinguishing power is 0.0005 mm, and its measuring range is 2mm. Through the adjustment of the mechanical parts or key-press, we can detect more than 12 kinds, so it is a flexible inspecting instrument.The major work: design and manufacture the brake disc side face run-out electronic detecting system; design and manufacture electronic signal processing system; combine the pneumatic drive and PLC realizing the action control; using the computer disposal the dynamic signal, and complete the software design; the system realize the united debugging and through the acceptance test.This system adopts the PLC technique to realize the process automation. Using computer data acquisition and processing technique make the detecting more accurately and efficiently. Using SPC statistical technique can control the quality of production directly.This instrument runs steadily and credibly on the production line. It has high degree of process automation and high precision. The repeatability achieves the CMC standard. It greatly improves the brake disc's production efficiency and the quality.
