| Nowadays, people do not want to pay enough attention to the importance of the mountain land for modern society all the time. Along with the society economy devolopment, first urbanism and world population increasing, per capita share of arable land becoming fewer and fewer, while the relation between human and lands in plain city trend to more and more tense, all of which lead to series of evironment problems and society problems. So people have to transfertheir attention to mountain land, a broad space which is 70% of the whole world lands with lettle being used. Living with the modern material civilization, people long to releasing themselves from the nerversness and supressness with fast living rhythm and high competition. On the base of that, being close to nature becomes the best way to escape from the disturbing of material civilization. High request to environment calls to high quanity of the ecologic environment and landscape planning in the mountain city. Landscape ladder road, concerned by more and more scholars from many areas, is an important part of the landscape corridor in mountain city. Nevertheless, intensive flow of people around the ladder road, the details and makes the landscape out of control. All above get great contradiction between high attention to the landscape road and high destroyment. So, the landscape ladder road design in the mountain city becomes one of the hot points of nowadays landscape academia and researchs of urban planners. Face to these status, landscape designers should put bigger responsibilities on their shoulders.Firstly, this article analyse, define such nouns concept as the mountain, mountain city, landscape, landscape planning, ladder road and sum their characteristics. On the basis of the above, it gives a brand new concept, landscape ladder road. Then, combined with the literature survey and some of the outstanding examples, it has research on the producing background, devoloping context and process, and has analysis on some domestic landscape ladder road design, with problems of single staircase, landscape broken and not paying attention to the protection of the ecological evironment. From the economy view, it analyses the characteristic of ecosystem and the ladder road evironment form in mountain city. And it also analyses the influences of the elements of natural evironment, social human factors, economy and technology on landscape ladder road in mountain city. On the base of that, it sums up the rich theoretical system, ecological restoratation methods and design techology frame of the landscape ladder road design in the mountain city. Finally, I choose the representative and workable landscape ladder road of Hanyuan county, the typical mountain city for study, design the ladder road landscpae by art way, using ecological methods of vegetation for redevelopment and finally make this ladder road area a landscape corridor with traffic effects, ecological effects, economic effects, social effects and aesthetic effects. Using systematic landscape ecological analyze concept, it combines landscape design with ecological protection and recovery, digs deeply its humanistic values and commercial values. All of these are not only the practice and the innovation of the landscape ladder road design of mountain city in post-industry era, but also provide the technical methods and guidance to create the landscape of ladder road in mountain city. This project is not a practised programme, but it could provide some reference to the later part of the municipal square ladder road planning and design, with a view to forming the dialogue between theory and practice, then complete the author's view through the analysis of the practice. This article, meanwhile, provide a construction mode and rich the landscape design for building ladder road landscape in the mountain city. Last but not the least, it has a practical guiding significant on "China charming city", Ya'an and "Sunshine city full of flowers and clear rivers",New Hanyuan construction.
