Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer(CFRP) sheet has the great application foreground in engineering structure reinforcement by its high strength and non-corrosive. However, there is a more defects by the common mounted methods. The method of applying prestress to CFRP plate can make full use of the characteristics of high-strength, enhance the force properties, prevent peeling damage and reduce the occurrence of the strain lag.The flexural performance of RC beams strengthened with prestressed CFRP plate were investigated experimentally by the self-developed CFRP plate and supporting anchorage. Based on the experiments on beam test of CFRP plate bonded to concrete and monotone static loading experiments on six RC beams strengthened with prestressed CFRP plate, researches are made systemically, with bond performance between CFRP and concrete ,loading procedure, failure pattern, bearing capacity, and deflection. Stress and strain distribution at transfer, decompression and ultimate phase were analysed, and the relevant expressions are derived, the calculation result agree well with test results. Finally, nonlinear FEM analysis for the beams strengthened with prestressed CFRP plates is accomplished by use of the large business FEM analysis software—ANSYS, the results are in good agreement with the test results.
