Nowadays energy deficiency is more and more serious, building energy conservation has become an important strategy for our country to carry out the plan of energy efficiency. External insulation technics is the main measure of building energy conservation, and the key to the technics is a kind of thermal insulation material with high energy conservation efficiency, great safety and good durability.Thermal insulation material with emulsion powder and EPS pellets is composed of reclaimed EPS pellets, cement, fly ash, silica fume, addition agent such as re-dispersible emulsion powder at a rational mixture ratio. The material overcome the drawbacks of bad workability, low energy efficiency, which exist in traditional insulation material, expanded pearlite insulation mortar,eg. The thermal insulation material is a homogeneous fluid medium which is easy to smudge and convenient to construct after it is well prepared, thus it overcome the shortcoming of plate-type thermal insulation material ,EPS board,eg. which is unable to construct in the angles of a house and has weak tehsile bond strenghth.In this paper, the primary factors which have an effect on thermal properties and the physical mechanics performance of the thermal insulation material as well as their reciprocity are studied in order to optimize the mixture ratio of the material factor and the. It is found out that the thermal insulation material added with staved EPS pellets is superior than the material with originally foamed EPS pellets in workability and thermal conductivity. The thermal insulation material's dry transparent density could be reduced obviously by adding with silica fume, thus its thermal conductivity could also be reduced. After the varity & quantity of the raw material are determined, the relation between the thermal conductivity and the dry transparent density could also be destined. The thermal insulation material's thermal conductivity could be in the scope of 0.052~0.06 W/(m·K) if its dry transparent density is 190 ~230 kg/m3. Re-dispersible emulsion powder plays an important role in enhancing the thermal insulation material's tensile bond strength & flexural strength. MHEC could improve the thermal insulation material workability and flexibility effectively; By adding air-entrained agent , the thermal insulation material's compressive strength and tensile bond strength would be reduced, so taking both the thermal insulation property and mechanical properties of the thermal insulation material into consideration ,the quantity should be less than 0.8%; The polypropylene textile fiber may obviously enhance the thermal insulation material's mechanical properties, in the condition of the fiber could disperses evenly, the long textile fiber's enhancement function surpasses the short fiber's.The thermal insulation material prepared at the optimized mixture ratio achieves and surpasses the national related targets in thermal properties and mechanical properties. The mixture ratio and properties of the contact surface medicinal and anti-crack mortar match with the thermal insulation material in the thermal insulation system are also studied, the glass fiber filament grid cloth's related performances are illustrated. And the thermal insulation system's construction schedule and the matters needing attention in construction are also introduced. In addition, through appraisal -ing the thermal insulation material's properties in technical sophistication, economics and functionality, it is concluded that this thermal insulation material is green environmental protection ecological and safe building materialWe hope that this paper may impel the massive application of the thermal insulation material consisting of emulsion powder and EPS pellets in our country ,and makes positive contribution in the energy conservation projects.
