Beam string structure (abbrev. BSS) is one kind of space large-span prestressed structural system which develops in the country nearly 10 years. It has given full play to the arched structure and the advantages of high-strength cable tensile properties of the material, so that a more rational structure, and so they have good application prospects.This article first introduced independently designs the prestressed tightwire tesiometer, and use this equipment to measure cable tension of the beam string structure after cable force was applied, and obtained satisfactory results. The apparatus is simple in principle, easy to operate, high precision. Next the displacement and strain were measured before and after the cable force was applied ; Secondly, a new form-finding methods, the method breakthrough in the original style of thinking, open a new path, and is easy to implement and high precision. Thirdly, the beam string structure changes in temperature,support friction made the internal forces and deformation analysis, pointing out that the design and construction should take into account the sliding friction bearings on the structure, and take appropriate measures to ensure the normal work of the structure. Finally, the stiffness and dynamic performance of the beam string structure is expounded, that the stiffness is divided into five, namely vertical downward, upward vertical, horizontal direction tensile, compressive horizontal direction, the horizontal beam plane, and the stiffness in all directions will vary, each have their own characteristics, should be treated differently. Dynamic performance research shows that beam string structure has weak position, the carrying capacity of vertical upward is smaller than others, and is more sensitive to earthquakes. We need to adopt corresponding measures to strengthen the stiffness of the direction.Through this research, we obtain some useful conclusions, as well as subsequent research has provided some theoretical support.
