This paper is a detailed comparative analysis tovarious transmission line models which are maturely in application, and it made some further improves from the unequal strike distance electric-geometry model based on the principle of electromagnetic fields. The new model can explain the reasons for why the transmission lines achieve fully shielded requirements in design are still stricken by lightning in operation. On the base of the new model, ways of how to address the problems of the mountain transmission lines' shielding failure were studied. The electricity transmission line mine new reference work direction to solve transmission line lightning hit around the issue of the utilization of lightning conductor transmission line shielding the reliability and economy. It gives new directions for the power transmission lines on Lightning shielding, and provides references for the issue of transmission lines' shielding failure. Also it improves the reliability and economy of transmission lines shielding.Analysis indicates:The induced charge of the prominent objects on the ground has produced gravity to the lightning download leads, which gives impact on the ultimate development of the lightning leads and determines the striking objects;The bigger the transmission lines' radius is, the more the induced charge on the surface of the transmission lines, and the bigger the gravity of attract the lighting-thunder is; because bigger transmission lines' induced charge is more than smaller ones', so bigger transmission lines can attract lighting-thunder easier.This passage points out that it can enlarge the ground wire's equivalent radius, enhance its attracted gravity to lighting-primers, and reduce the rate of shielding failure by adding a cover on its surface.This passage also points out that the way of enlarging ground wire's equivalent radius can reduce the rate of shielding failure and enhance the security and stability of the transmission lines.
