Study On Several Problems About Making Urban Forest Management Plan

On the base of previous work on the urban forest and practice in making forest management plan, this paper carried on the research to several problems about making urban forest management plan, such as urban forest resources investigation, management types organization, forest cultivation and utilization, evaluation index system, benefit analysis and so on. I hope it can make some contributions to the work of making urban forest management plan, and have a good base for realizing sustainable development of urban forest. Main research work is as follows:1. According to the regionalization of urban forest resources and requirements of investigation, contents and methods related of urban forest resources investigation were explained in detail from investigation of conditions, forest and special.2. According to management types, sources characteristics, principles and basis, urban forest was divided into ecological public welfare forest and commercial forest, and ecological public welfare forest was divided into two subtypes, protection forest and special forest, fourteen management type groups and twenty-five management types.3. Urban forest cultivation design was described from guiding ideology, principles and requirements of tree species selection, soil preparation, objects and density of planting and forest tending. In addition, urban forest utilization was designed based on different region in and out of city. Suburb forest utilization design was mainly explained from three aspects of non-wood resources, forest ecological tourism and timber resources.4. According to the urban forest characteristics, the article proposed the principles, thoughts and methods with which established the urban forest evaluation index system, constructed the urban forest evaluation index system from urban forest's structure, function, coordination and aesthetic value which was composed by twenty-six indexes and provided the corrective standards. Moreover, the article carried on eight kinds of concrete benefit analysis on ecological, social and economic benefits.
