Short-leg shear wall is defined as the shear wall with a ratio of section depth to width being 5-8. Usually, the section width is 200-250 mm, and the depth is between 1000 and 2500mm. It is an intergradation structure style between erose-section-column frame and conventionshear wall structure. This kind of structure form bases on convention shear wall structure anddraws on the advantage of framework. So it has become the most important structure form for residence projects with 20-30 stories.In this paper, 3D unit SOLID65 is used in ANSYS to establish the finite element analysis model of short-leg shear wall. And the analysis model of short-leg shear wall were respectively divided into four groups according to sectional deepth to thickness ratio, concrete strength grades, couple beams spain-deepth ratio, axial compressive ratio. How these factors afect the load-carrying and deformation of short-leg shear wall is analysed. The anlysis shows that:(1)The crack moment and ultimate moment are heaved, and the deformation capacity curve firstly rises then goes down with the increasement of the sectional deepth to thickness ratio .The load-carrying and deformation capacity is relatively high when the sectional deepth to thickness ratio is 6.5 or so.(2)The crack moment,ultimate moment and the deformation capacity rises with the the increasement of concrete strength grade.They rise slowly when the concrete strength grade up to some degree.The relationship of the deformation capacity and the crack moment ,ultimate moment should be noticed.(3)The're much relationship between the couple beam spain-deepth ratio and the structural. A rational ratio is important to the safe of the structural and economy.The ultimate moment and the deformation capacity goes down with the increase of the couple beam spain-deepth ratio.The deformation capacity is low when the ratio is too minor.(4)Under certain range, the load-carrying capacity and deformation capacity rises with the increase of axial compression ratio, but the axial compression ration should be under restrict.
