As the rural network's terminal, rural distribution network connect directly with agricultural network user. It has many characteristics, such as lines widely distributed, low voltage, numerous equipment, etc. Line Loss of the rural distribution network in the entire loss in the rural distribution network holds a considerable proportion. With the power industry market-oriented progressive development, energy loss and the economic efficiency of rural enterprises will be even more closely linked to each other. So it is extremely important to calculate accurately, since it can appraise the performance of effectiveness of line loss in an enterprise, to formulate effective Loss Reduction measures and to improve the economic efficiency of enterprises to reduce energy loss. We can see that distribution theory on line loss calculation methods has very important theoretical and practical significance.Study on rural distribution network theory loss calculation mainly consists of two parts: one is the 10 kV distribution network theory line loss, the other is the 0.4 kV distribution network theory Loss Calculation. The structure of 10kV and below10kV distribution network is quite complex, that is hard to put it into use. It has numerous branch circuits, complex load nature, incomplete historical data , large distribution network, and difficult computing-related parameters. It needs more technical information and historical data to calculate the line loss for traditional 0.4 kV and 10 kV distribution network theory, because of its large amount of computation and complicated calculating process. In the current distribution network line loss theoretical calculation methods, most of which do not consider the imbalance in power distribution network operating conditions, which makes distribution network theory loss calculation can not be a true reflection of power grid operation. So there is a big error in calculation. In conjunction with this situation, basing on deeply investigation of some distribution network in the theoretical line loss calculation, this paper proposed a new method for the current distribution network of the new line loss calculation - improved Average Current method, which relies on power supply enterprises Integrated Management System. From the perspective of theory and practice, I proved the reasonableness and correctness of this calculation method in detail. I chose parts of the medium voltage and low-voltage distribution network of Electrical Industrial Bureau in Yi'an County to calculate. The results show that the relative error of the 10 kV distribution line loss calculation lowers 10.30 percentage points, the relative error of the 0.4 kV distribution line loss calculation lowers 10.89 percentage points. Calculation process and results show that the calculation method will be easier to collect the information needed to calculate speed, and get precise results, which can meet the needs of engineering calculation and the actual management.In order to facilitate the engineering calculation, according to improvement of the current method to calculate the average model, using Delphi as a software development platform, software has been developed in distribution network loss calculation system.
