This paper is based on the DCS retrofit for Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler in a large state-owned Chemical Enterprise's self-supply power plant. CFBB (Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler) is the new generation, high efficiency, low pollution and clean combustion boiler. This type of boiler is more reliable, economical and more environment-friendly. The main steam pressure is one of the most important guidelines on CFBB operation quality. Main steam pressure control is an important part in control system of CFBB. But because of the nonlinear and lagging combustion process in CFBB, the boiler control process becomes very complex, it is difficult to build a precise mathematical model and to obtain satisfactory results by traditional PID control.Based on collecting and accumulating rich experience in field operators, this paper designed the fuzzy control system for main steam pressure of CFBB. And the fuzzy control technology (a kind of artificial intelligence technology) has been applied to the system. Intelligent control of main stream pressure realized by using the JX-300X system of SUPCON Group Co. Ltd. At the same time various system configuration and other aspects of the control have been completed. And based on the controlling results, we can conclude that fuzzy control is a suitable method for controlling large-lag, strong couple and nonlinear combustion process in a boiler which is difficult for the traditional PID control. The research results in this paper has been applied to the 75 t/h Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler in a factory and has achieved good effects. The paper also can proved reference for the same kind of project.
