Because of the Circulating Fluidized Bed technology is a kind of clean coal combustion technology with high efficient, low pollution and good fuel adaptability. In recent years, the Circulating fluidized bed power generation unit has been rapidly developed at home and abroad. To compare with the pulverized coal boiler, the dynamic characteristics of the circulating fluidized bed boiler has stronger nonlinearity, more time delay and time variation. Therefore it is vary difficult that its precise mathematical model is established. Main steam pressure is so. To obtain satisfactory control performance is not possible by conventional PID controller. So far, the coordinated control system(CCS) of the circulating fluidized bed power generation unit is not be put into operation, and it can not meet the requirements for automatic generation control(AGC). Many scholars have conducted research on this issue at present, but the valuable research results is not much.Active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) is a new nonlinear control techniques developed in recent years. The real-time dynamic linearization is implemented by disturbance estimation via ESO and disturbance compensation via control law, then using a nonlinear state error feedback control law to control the controlled object. Therefore this technology can effectively solve problems of nonlinearity, coupling, and time-varying and time delay.This paper analyzes the existing problems and the main factors that affect control performances of the CCS.ADRC technology may be able to solve the problems of nonlinearity, coupling, and time-varying and time delay that exist in the circulating fluidized bed power unit,so the paper designs the300MW circulating fluidized bed units CCS based on ADRC and takes several dynamic approximate transfer functions that main steam pressure changes disturbed by coal feed volume as an example conducting the traditional PID control and ADRC simulation research at MATLAB, the results showed that the control system which adopt ADRC is better to meet the production process than the conventional PID in the control performance.
