| The wind turbine generator set is a mechanical system which transforms wind power into electric energy. The performance characteristics of the drive-train directly affect the quantity of electricity and normal operation of the wind turbine. This paper firstly analyzed the working principle of transmission system, then did comprehensive research to the wind turbine drive-train and it's components, including the system's dynamic characteristics, loads and failure, stability and reliability .etc, conducted strength analysis and numerical calculation of the important parts such as shaft and gear by using ANSYS software, and discussed performance design issues of the wind turbine drive-train. Based on this, the paper discussed the drive-train's shafting characteristics through modeling and simulating methods, built rigid axis model and flexible shaft model, carried on simulation analysis and computation to the wind turbine's drive characteristics through MATLAB/ Simulink software, and gave the analysis conclusions. Finally, the paper tested the system's transmission efficiency based on an improved transmission properties researching test-bed. All of these provided a reference to the research of wind turbine drive-train's failure mechanism and its design. |
