The Research Of Communication Gateway In Distribution Automation System According With IEC 61850 Protocols

This paper presents a blue print that applies IEC 61850 standard protocols to distribution grid automation system basing on deep analyzing both of them, and analyses the feasibility and applicability of the blue print. A kind of communication gateway device is designed to unionize the protocols used in distribution automation system, which can realize the transitions between IEC 61850 and other national protocols by taking example for the process of the fault treatment of feeder automation(FA)system. According to the technological traits of IEC 61850, to build the object oriented models of gateway and correlative datum. This paper adopts some technologies about XML (XSLT, XPath, etc) and advanced embedded real-time database supporting XML files to realize the software design of protocols transitions. Using 44B0 development board of ARM7 series, this paper builds the cross-compiling environment based on uclinux embedded operation system, and embed XML real-time database. Validate the availability and correctness of this blue print by debugging.
