In modern time, quality of industrial products is increasingly demanding. Today products usually have more and more function, more complexity, lower life-span and higher speed of remake. Moreover , we often require better quality, better reliability and more benefit from industrial products. Relay is a kind of separated switch, which is widely used to remote control, remote measurement, communication, automation, Electromechanical Integration, electric &electronic devices. It is one of the most important control components. Therefore, it is very useful for doing the job well—design relay.According to traditional relay design, It is based on experience of mechanics and mathematics, with formula, diagram design handbook. Usually it uses methods of experience formula, approximately coefficient, analogy, sets up math models, completes with traditional CAD. However, traditional CAD lack of ability for dealing with uncertain information, specially in phase of conception design and commence design. Stylist will meet a mass of uncertain information, which leads to serious result. So that work efficiency is lower, application fields are narrower, information is more mach, man-computer interface is worse, more users requirement, faults are no avoided. When traditional design methods don't satisfied our needs, Reasoning design methods , including conceptual design, structural design, estimate, and decision-making, are needed. This kind of method must up build knowledge models with regard to object of design. It belongs to artificial intelligence fields.Design method based on uncertain reasoning, the most strongpoint is that it can deal with uncertain information of relay technology parameter, according to fuzzy mathematics and evidential theory. In this paper, we use fuzzy reasoning and D-S evidence to do with uncertain information , select type of mechanical products rationally.The importance of comprehensive evaluation goes without saying. Whether a system is good or not, a thing successful or not, a person quality excellent or not, we need to make a comprehensive evaluation. It is so important to users that quality of relay. If quality of relay don't meet the users'requirement, the above job is no meaningless. Therefore we should make our comprehensive evaluation to quality of relay. This paper uses method of fuzzy comprehensive analysis, builds design evaluation model, adds D-S evidential theory to this system, obtain final result of comprehensive evaluation, and at last give explain of result in a rational, special way.
