Ordinary concrete has the properity such as low tensile strength, brittleness, easy to crack and poor chemical corrosion-resistant.But when it was mixed polymer materials,its such performce can be improved.So the research of the polymer modified concrete has been one of the hot issues in the civil engineering fields at home and abroad.This thesis against WSP(Water-Soluble Polymer) polymer modified concrete begin the research work,the main contents and conclusions are as follows.Firstly, in the same working conditions, by the mortar test, this thesis researches the flexural strength and compressive strength of the WSP modified cement mortar and ordinary cement mortar, mixing superplasticizer polycarboxylate cement mortar. The results showed that WSP makes a new intensitivly improvement to the mechanical strength of the mortar, it makes the mortar bending to increase more than 10% and makes the compressive and flexural strength ratio reduce by 25%, it effectively improves the flexibility of cement mortar and reduces the use quantitative of the cement.also, by changing the content of the WSP, there exsit an best content value, in this point, the cement mortar has good mechanical properties.Secondly,this thesis do the research about cube compressive strength, axial compressive strength, axial tensile strength, splitting strength, bend flexural strength and elastic modulus test on the WSP concrete, ordinary concrete, polycarboxylate concrete, emulsified asphalt concrete, polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete and the polypropylene fiber concrete which added emulsified asphalt.By the research result,the WSP concrete has the good mechanical properties,and it significantly improved the disadvantage of the ordinary concrete.Finally,this thethis do the research on the function enhanced mechanism of the WSP cement mortar and WSP concrete.By the SEM images show,when the WSP added, the mortar microscopic morphology changed.in the mortar , hydration products intertwined with the WSP membrane form a space network structure which make the modification function.From the above studies and conclusions, it can be drawn that WSP concrete opens up a new idea to solute to the ordinary concrete's brittleness and other shortcomings; as its strength in meeting the requirements of the construction, it can greatly reduce the amount of cement. So it has high economic potential and promote the value of engineering practice.
