Magnetic suspend bearings have high-speed operation, low noise, low power consumption, long life and the advantages of shock isolation. Permanent magnet bearings have simple structure, small size, light weight, high reliability and small response time constant, low cost, and low power consumption. China is rich in rare earth resources, research mixed bearing and magnetic bearings have a good prospect .it undoubtedly has the advantaged predominance for development of permanent magnet bearing in main load.The method to improve the electromagnetic bearing magnetic force nonlinear is provide a bias magnetic field in bearing gap, the one is from electromagnet coil currents and the other is from permanent magnets. Use permanent magnets provide bias magnetic field for magnetic bearings, not only reduce the bearings heat, but also simplify the bearings structure. The paper detailed introduce the working principle of the permanent magnet biased radial magnetic bearings at firstly, and use the method of equivalent magnetic circuit establish the mathematical model, using ANSYS software establish bearing 2D and 3D model to complete finite element simulation, validate the accuracy of the suspend magnetic mechanism, and determine the reliability of calculation methods .On this basis, given a set of regular design and calculation methods to the permanent magnet bias magnetic bearing. For magnetic bearing design provides a theoretical basis.This paper established mate ring permanent magnet bearing magnetic force model, by the magnetic charge theory. Based on this model, paper analysis the radial and axial magnetic force, while there are offset between the two magnetic rings in radial and axial; And the axial and radial bearing coupling characteristics. At the same time, use the ANSYS to analysis and calculate the permanent magnet bearing load capacity in axial and radial. It is certify that the magnetic charge theory is accuracy and reliability.
