| As a branch of embankment dam, earth dam ,a prevalently-adopted type of dam constructed with local materials, has a great prospect for development and application. Compared with other damtypes, embankment dam has absolute advantages whether in the world or in china . The number of embankment dams accounts for 82.9% of that of the dams althrough the world, and 93% in china.With the development and improvement of the society , higher demands of the embankment dam design are proposed. The traditional methods of embankment dam desigh have been unable to meet the needs of social development, which makes it necessary to develop the shape optimization program of embankment dam. The application of optimization method into embankment dam design will greatly improve the efficiency and accuracy of the design, thus being of great significance to the present dam design.In this paper, Hongyanhe reservoir, one of the water resource projects in Bingchang mine district, is researched in the way of optimization. The calculations ,with the guide of the design specifications of rolled rockfill dam, are based on the rigid ultimate equilibrium theory. The Swedish slip-circle method and Bishop method are adopted respectively to calculate the minimum stability safety factors of the embankment dam slope. On the basis of the calculation above , the genetic method and complex method are adoped to optimize the shape of the Hongyanhe homogeneous dam in different conditions of the construction period,normal pool level and so on.In this paper, according to the definite working condition and available material parameters of Hongyanhe project , one of the water resource projects in Bingchang mine district, the program is utilized to optimize the dam and make calculations and analysis. The result of optimization shows that on the premise that all design requirements are met, adopting the genetic method and complex method can save 12.0% and 12.3% of the quantity separately. It verifies the rationality of the program, and further demonstrates that it is effective and feasible to apply the genetic method and complex method into the earth dam optimization. |
