In recent years, earthquake disaster frequently occurred in whole world which brought great damage to the safety of life and property for people. If the bridges which looked as very important structures by people for connecting with people's life collapsed caused by earthquake,the indirect disaster will take up to bring more loss of life and proprety. Therefor it is necessary to study the seismic response of bridge for designing reasonable earthquake resisting structures and developing effective earthquake resisting methods.In this paper, two methods including spectrum response analysis and time-history analysis of earthquake are applied to Xin Zhou bridge based on the basic theory of the earthquake response analysis.The main work in this paper includes:1. Establishing reasonable calculation model of bridge;2. Considering the influence of the pile-soil interacion to the seismic response of the bridge;3. Obtaining some valueable conclusions based of the study on results of response-spectrum and time-history;4. The method nonlinearity analysis of earthquake is applied to continuous rigid frame bridge, analyzing the influence of nonlinearity to the seismic response of the bridge;In this paper,from the earthquake response analysis of the Xin Zhou bridge, these obtained conclusions will give some refences for practical earthquake resisting designing of continuous rigid frame bridges.
