In this paper, we successfully designed the monitoring system to by applying the laser triangle method to realize the non-contact measurement of the pole's coat thickness in the fabrication process of the Lithium battery pole piece. The main tasks is concluded as follows:1. Reviewed the development course of the coat thickness measuring technology, gathered the popular metrical method to analyze the basic principle and make a whole comparison with each other.2. Considering the specific requirement, schemed out a set of system by the optical method. The laser was fully reflected when transmitting to the substrate of the pole, and then scattered by the upper layer of the pole shaping a dispersion spot without any obvious facula focus. The whole system introduced the laser triangle method as basic theory, the PSD as the sensor, and the MSP430 as the processor. To ensure the precision and veracity, we gathered the difference signals to eliminate the error to a large extent.3. Adopting the CODE V software, we simulated the light propagation of the optical system for assembling the dispersion spot of the pole piece coat, and analyzed the MTF of the system.4. Designed the PSD signal processing circuit and the MCU software to realize the measuring and monitoring function of the system.5. To simulate the field environment, we established the experiment system to measure and display the scaling result of the samples'thickness; According to the results, we demarcated the system, and analyzed the measuring error.
