| The flat gate valve has been widely applied in the field of coal, metallurgy, petroleum and chemical industries. The valve abrasion in the pipeline is relatively serious due to the amounts of mine grits and granule materials contained in it. It is of great significance to enhance service life by means of the analysis of failure mechanism and optimizing its structural parameters in gate valves, which will also further research in this field.It turns out to be that, impacting-attrition abrasion, erosive abrasion and transformation abrasion are the main failure forms for the flat gate valve after investigated the failure mechanism. The main material-cutting mechanism includes plastic deformation (rolling pressing holes), furrow and cutting for the valves. By increasing the resistance of deformation and hardness of materials, the abrasion will be better reduced. The selection of wearable materials consists two respects: 2Cr13 for the flat gate valve and inlaying corundum chinaware ring in its lower edge; the casting steel for the valve body and also corundum chinaware ring for the passing part. So the wearable quality and resisting-impact are both increased.After stress analysis of gate valve, the structure of it has been improved that the shape of disc changed to be square from round, so did with the valve body. The entrance and exit as a structure of entering from the big part and coming out from the small one has been designed. Therefore, the problem of build-up stock has been solved. Analysis of structure of valve body, further more, by way of finite element analysis (Ansys), the stress of flat gate was improved obviously and abradability of valve body was enhanced too. |
