With the development of mankind, underground cavity has undergone for many years and made big progress. The underground cavity has been used in many areas, such as military, industry, civil, traffic and public works. With the wide use of underground cavity, people demand for higher standards. Because of the difficulties of it, we need to have a research on a certain scale. The most important of it is underground chamber whose shape is so big and irregular, so the sequence of the excavation and some certain technology require to be confirmed.The project of underground cavity of hydroelectric power station in Long Tan and do the calculation of excavation by using the difference method is studied by this paper, then, use FLAC program to simulate the different sequence of the excavation and compare and confirm the construction plan on the basis of deformation, stress and plastic deformation. The introduction of construction plan is made and detailed study on key technology is done by this paper. The setting of concrete of underground cavity is also studied by the paper. Beside the introduction of the method of pouring concrete, paper also do the research of special part of concrete and summarize the methods of temperature control of mass concrete. The construction of underground cavity from selecting plan, excavation, and support method to pouring concrete in every part is researched by the paper. It is hoped that the work that the paper has done can draw on this experience of the large underground cavity.
