Network reconfiguration is a very important function of the distribution management system. Power distribution system have two characteristics: open-loop-run and ring structure. Net reconfiguration not only can balance load, erase over-load, improve provide voltage quality, but also can reduce net loss, improve system economical efficiency.Normally, it must guarantee that distribution system open-loop-run and have not isolated island. Because of the huge quantity of the section breakers and interconnection switch ,it must spend long time to combine and optimize. This paper's objective function is to make net loss lowest, then use the multi-zone structure algorithm in the urban distribution system optimization. Multi-zone structure algorithm regard the part between the section breaker and interconnection switch as a equivalent point and considers the structure and load distribution of the branch line in order to improve the speed and the accuracy of the optimization. Because this algorithm adopts depth_first search, it can calculate the power in backward sequence and the voltage in forward sequence through access the sequence list which base the multi-zone structure algorithm in backward or forward sequence. Meanwhile, using the adjacent zone algorithm establish the multi-zone structure model after adjust, resolved the net reconfiguration problem which considers the change the load distribution.Because the establish process of the multi-zone structure model is independent of the serial number of the element, user only must provide the attribute and the parameter of the element , so the versatility of this method is good. This method is adopted in Distribution Management System of the Shangqiu electric power corporation, has received expected purpose.
