Due to early protection issue limits its development, outside prestressing force has been applied on bridge long before. With gradually perfect of material technology and protection measure, outside prestressing force gain widely application, and it becomes one of the most active and efficient method.On the basis of simple bridge of armoured concrete reinforce project, we research application of outside prestressing force. Through matching concrete design, evaluating loss of outside prestressing force, analyzing mechanics, computing in normal usage phase and utmost intension, it shows that adoption of outside prestressing force reinforce of simple old bridge can obtain well reinforce effect, greatly increase carrying capacity of bridge, improve usage performance of structure, this technology adapts to reinforce of old bridge.In conclusion, outside prestressing force is a very convenient and safe reinforce method, it does not interrupt traffic and change shape of structure and increase structure weight. Through researching, we consummate computing design method using outside prestressing force reinforce, accumulate valued experience.
