Thin-walled steel-concrete composite structure (TWSCS)is a new type structure which is composed of thin-walled steel plates,cold-formed thin-walled steel elements with concrete.In this type of structures,the joints are the key parts.But the thickness of the steel tube of the columns is so thinner that cannot be able to bear the tensile forces which come from the beams,so the detail of construction and mechanics behavior of the joint for the TWSCS need to be studied further.The research object in this paper concentrates on the static working behaviors of TWSCS joints under the unsymmetric loading. The main contents are listed as follows:(1) The static experiments of 5 different specimens of joints between column and beams were conducted under unsymmetric loading. The test set-up to satisfy for the unsymmetric loading was designed and made, and the method of experiments is also described;(2)The damage phenomena of all kinds of joints are described, and the reasons of the damage are also analysed. The results of the experiments have been analysed and compared, which includes load-displacement curves. load-strain curves.ductility stiffness and bearing capacity. The loading mechanism of the different joints is elementarily expounded through analyzing the test data. The results indicate that the static behaviors of joints mainly relate to their details of construction,the staic behaviours of all types of joints except one of the type with the internal stiffness rings are quite good,the type of the joint that the steel beam runs through the column has the best capability,and needs to be recommended in the construction in the future.(3) At last, calculation methods for the yield capability of the joints were explored.
